Bridgton Village is a ten minute drive away. The resident population totals about 5,000. The first new hospital built in Maine in the last 20 years was just recently completed. Bridgton has its' own full-time Police Department as well as quality public safety, parks and recreation, and waste transfer station services. Property taxes in Knights Hill will range from $1,600 to $4,900. Bridgton is part of the Lake Region School District, which includes the Towns of Bridgton, Casco, Naples and Sebago.
During the Summer Bridgton's population grows to over 30,000 people. A wide variety of recreational activities are right at hand. Numerous lakes, golf courses and ski areas frequent the local landscape. For the Knights Hill resident braving the trip north for the weekend, simply firing up the Bar-B-Que in peace and quiet fits the bill for recreation - perhaps we hit the slopes or snowmobile trails tomorrow. Serious shoppers head for North Conway, NH or LL Bean in Freeport.
